Antiquarian Books

The term "antiquarian books" refers to all types of "old books". It can also be used instead of "rare books" or "antique books". What is considered an old book varies from person to person. Some people consider that a book from the 1930's is an antiquarian book or antique book. Other people only consider books printed earlier than 1900 to be antiquarian books.

The term antiquarian books or antique books often implies that the books in question have a very high value. This is not necessarily the case. Some very old books can be bought for less than $50 and other more recent books - which strictly speaking are not antiquarian books - are more expensive. The value of the books depends on how rare the books are and what condition the books are in. If you have a rare antiquarian book it is probably very valuable.
